Plumpton Double Hit

A smashing day at Plumpton built into a proper crescendo. To begin with DEN THE DIVA was fourth against a couple of tasty opponents, demonstrating that she is gradually finding her racing legs. Next up was FLEMEN’S TIPPLE, in a slightly longer race than last time and  battling to finish second, beaten half a length by Gerico Ville, who knows his way around a staying hurdle in these parts and had been a close second at the previous meeting. The form of racing eight days earlier was again boosted when GOLD CLERMONT won her second race in a row. She had a hard race in the first but had recovered really well and was clearly going best as far out as the third last. It would be fair to say that she is really buzzing at the moment. The day ended with BROWN BULLET making it a Shovelstrode double. She too was travelling most sweetly of the field before the final turn, but a couple of stubborn opponents made it hard work until she began to go away from them on the run-in. It was Caoilin’s first career double, and his other two rides on the card finished second. It would be fair to say that everyone was pleased with everyone else.

Do take a look at the Horses For Sale page, where we have three novice chase prospects for next season available either in shares or complete.

Great day Shovelstrode. Sorry that I was unable to make it.
