We are a family-run operation, we own our own training facilities, and we have a great sponsor, so as a result we are able to offer the highest quality of training and care for racehorses for what are incredibly competitive training costs.

We are extremely ambitious and over the next few years we want to improve the quality of racehorses we have in our care, develop those we have to realise their full potential, train more winners per year, win better races and more prize money, so we are keeping our training costs ultra-competitive to encourage new owners to experience the Shovelstrode Ethos

TRAINING COSTS (from 1st August 2023)

Basic training fees – £46 per day

Out of training – £25.00 per day

Blacksmith – £100 per month fixed price

Transport – £1.50 per mile

Racing expenses as set out by the BHA guidelines – £51 per runner

Gallops and schooling away days – £80 per month

ADDITIONAL COSTS

Should horses require specific attention from specialists like the vet, horse dentist, etc these will be charged at cost.
