Mid March 2023 Update

TRIUMPH! A glorious success for GOLD CLAREMONT at Plumpton got us back on the winning trail. She had been very well in herself, and had schooled just fine, but there was always that doubt that when her old yard tried her over fences, she had not enjoyed it all. As it happened, things went very smoothly today, apart from a late scour round for a jockey after Jamie Moore was stood down following an earlier ride – Philip Armson did a great job as last minute replacement, and Gold Claremont did not put a foot wrong. Earlier on the card we had a scare when CLONDAW ROBIN was pulled up abruptly before the last with a heart issue. Fortunately he seemed to have recovered by the end of the afternoon but we will be keeping a very close eye on him in the coming days.
