April 1st Update
Let’s all shout “Yaaayy!” for a second straight win for LA DOLCE DOLLY, this won at Wincanton.

Hopefully everyone has finished with their Yaaayy! now. Rather like Plumpton, she opted not to turn the race into an imperious stroll, but grinding out with grim determination is probably going to be her style of racing. Nothing wrong with that.
Alas, on the same card, BIRDMAN BOB burst a blood vessel and pulled up. As long as he handled the ground, he probably could have been a factor in that race, so the ying and the yang principle applied, and the universe is set itself a balance. The universe often seems to give Birdman Bob the rough end of the stick.
Late last week we got another run into SURREY NEMESIS. We are keen to get her back to Fontwell on April 11th for a mares only novices’ handicap hurdle, so getting the race done was quite a significant landmark, and she should get more competitive once in amongst her peers.
Next stop for us will be CLONDAW ROBIN at Plumpton on Thursday. Yes, Plumpton on a Thursday. Not an April Fool’s gag.
