Storm Darragh Day Update
Since the last update the theme of the runners has been to perform quite well, without turning it into a win. GODOT was third in a staying hurdle at Kempton, SHAW’S CROSS ran really well on his comeback at Lingfield until lack of a recent run told in the straight and LA DOLCE DOLLY put up a good show in a maiden hurdle at Plumpton, being outpaced on the far side before rallying and only missing out on fourth by a couple of lengths. The most promising show of all was GOLD CLAREMONT, who was one of the last two on the bridle on her return fences at Plumpton. Unfortunately she then totally misjudged the third last fence. The winner cruised home as if a complete blot on the handicap, so perhaps a win was not on the cards but it is hard to believe that she would not have made second without the bad error.
Couple of pictures from Plumpton. Compare and contrast the laid back approach of EKLIL and Kate with the rather more melodramatic approach of SUZY WOOD and Conor.
