Happy New Year!
Happy New Year to all our readers. Boxing Day was a little bit quieter than expected as a few of the possible participants appeared elsewhere the week before, but we got a really good run from CLONDAW ROBIN at Fontwell. In testing conditions he shaped as if a success was a possibility coming off of the final bend, but the eventual winner was too quick from the second last, and he was undeservedly relegated to third in the last few yards. A super effort all the same. Elsewhere on the card MISTER MOSE was caught out by the conditions, but he will be chasing sooner rather than later, and YOUM DEJRAAN forgot at the start most of what he learned from his racing debut. We will stick at it with him, because he has been showing the requisite ability at home and just needs to click his brain into gear on the track.
The pictures are Mister Mose (1) and Clondaw Robin (8) in action on the day. Excellent work by the riders to give a clear view of the horses at this point of the course!
